Movie Review: Trust the Man.

I got in the movie mood from the last post, so I went to the only gas station in town, which doubles as the only place to rent movies in town (actually, that’s not quite true, you can rent at the only supermarket in town too, but they have like 50 movies and cost twice as much).

Now I’m able to deliver you with a review of Trust the Man, starring Julianne Moore, Maggie Gyllenhaal, David Duchovny and Billy Crudup. I’d been wanting to see it for a while, so I felt very lucky to have found it in such a limited selection.

It’s a cute story about two couples. One being a sexless marriage, the other with a guy that doesn’t want to get married. Both couples fall apart and, of course, reunite. It was funny, truthful and smart. I think you’d enjoy it.

That’s hardly a review. Not only is the movie already available to rent, but you talked about the story for a grand total of three sentences. I could probably learn more information by reading the back of the box.

Why can't they say what they want?

Why can't they just say what they mean?

Come clean, listen and talk.
